GIFF AND RTS JOIN FORCES WITH THE FIFAD (FESTIVAL INTERNATIONAL DU FILM ALPIN DES DIABLERETS)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

The XR ROADSHOW caravan transcends the space-time of the GIFF to broaden access to immersive creation. Our mobile setup is especially designed to offer digital experiences that push the boundaries of audiovisual fiction and propel spectators into a decidedly unprecedented exploration. This initiative is in partnership with the R<\/a>TS<\/a> and with the support of the Canton of Geneva and the UBS Foundation for Culture.<\/p>\n\n

The RTS invites the XR ROADSHOW to take up summer residence at the 55th FIFAD (Festival International du film alpin des Diablerets<\/a> – August 3 to 10, 2024). The public will have the chance to discover an entirely free selection of immersive experiences by Thierry Loa, a transmedia filmmaker who uses virtual reality to explore and criticize the impact of human activity on the ecosystems of the planet.<\/p>\n\"GIFF\"\n

Take a 360-degree view of the world: how can we capture our times to better bear witness to the impact our culture has on the world? Using a minimalist documentary format in which testimony and voiceover are abandoned in favor of a hypnotic soundscape, these first two episodes of a long-term work expose the human impact on Chinese and US territories. Between cities and highways, industrial facilities and climate destruction, nature has become almost invisible. A terrifying, mechanical vision of our future sure to move audiences. <\/p>\n\n
