Crash, a couple in search of true sensations. Intellectually subversive and with clinical esthetics, this cult movie suffered several bans upon its release. Based on James G. Ballard’s novel, it has just been restored by David Cronenberg and director of photography Peter Suschitzky. “Everything comes from the body and the mortality of man.” Fascinated with bodies and beaten flesh, a new form of sexual instinct emerges.
