Before the Festival, it is only possible to buy tickets and passes online on www.giff.ch.
From the 1st of November until the end of the Festival, you can go to the Central Ticket Office, Maison Communale de Plainpalais (Pitoëff).

Central Ticket Office:
Opening: 45 minutes before the start of the first event of the day and continuously
Closing: 15 minutes after the start of the last event of the day

 

CAN I MAKE BOOKING BY TELEPHONE OR E-MAIL ?

No. We do not take any reservation by phone or e-mail.

 

WHERE CAN I RECEIVE MY ACCREDITATION ?

At the Accreditations desk, on the first floor of Maison Communale de Plainpalais (Pitoëff), from the 1st of November. For more information, please contact accreditation@giff.ch.

 

ONLINE PURCHASES

HOW TO BUY TICKETS ON THE FESTIVAL WEBSITE?

Choose your sessions on the program page.

Click on the event of your choice to open the corresponding page.

On the right of the page, you will find a TICKETS box where you can choose the desired date and fares and the amount of tickets by fare.

To add your selection to your cart, click Add to cart at the bottom of this box.

Then you have the option to continue your visit on the website, to make other purchases in the same order, clicking on Continuer ma visite or to access the basket directly to pay your tickets, clicking ACCEDER AU PANIER.

Check the contents of your cart before clicking FINISH MY ORDER.

You will then be redirected to a payment page.

Please fill in your contact information, to allow us to send you your tickets and your order confirmation, and accept the general conditions of sale.

When the page is complete, click To the payement process.

Choose the method of payment and follow the steps related to the payment of your order.

In the following minutes, you will receive an e-mail with a link to download your ticket. In case you have not received this e-mail within one hour after the validation of your order, check that it is not in your spam box. If you do not receive it 24 hours after your order, please contact us at billetterie@giff.ch.

 

HOW TO BUY A GIFF PASS ON THE FESTIVAL WEBSITE? ?

Once on www.giff.ch, click on PASS in the top bar, to the right of the cart logo.

Choose the desired price then complete your information.

(surname, first name, e-mail address, photo)

Click Add to Cart. You will be redirected to the basket page and its contents.

You then have the opportunity to continue your visit on the site, to make other purchases in the same order, or to finalize your order.

Once your order is complete, check the contents of your cart before clicking FINISH MY ORDER. Then you will be redirected to a payment page.

Please fill in your contact information, to allow us to send you your pass and your order confirmation, and accept the terms and conditions of sale.

When the page is complete, click To the payement process.

Choose the payment method and follow the steps related to the payment method.

The problem may come from your browser. Our computer technicians recommend the use of Google Chrome.

 

I PAID MY ORDER, BUT I DID NOT RECEIVE THE LINK TO DOWNLOAD MY TICKET OR PASS. WHAT TO DO?

Be sure to check that it is not in your spam box. If it is not there, please write us at billetterie@giff.ch.

 

HOW DO THE TICKETS PURCHASED ONLINE?

After you make your purchase, you will receive an e-mail with a link to download your ticket. Check your spam box if you have not received any confirmation e-mail after your purchase.

A ticket purchased online guarantees entry at the venue for the corresponding event. Print your ticket. The barcode on it will be scanned at the entrance of the session.

We do not refund or exchange any seat already reserved and/or printed.

 

HOW DOES PASS PURCHASES WORK ONLINE?

After you make your purchase, you will receive an e-mail with a link to download your pass. Check your spam box if you did not receive any confirmation e-mail after your purchase.

It is imperative to reserve your seat before the screening, on www.giff.ch or at the Central Ticket Office. The GIFF Pass allows to attend all the events of the Festival. It gives access to a maximum of 8 sessions by day, including events, within the limit of available seats. It is nominative and non-transmittable. Only one person can access to the venue for each event.

We do not refund or exchange any seat already reserved and/or printed.

 

HOW TO BOOK ONLINE SESSIONS ON A PASS?

After purchasing your GIFF Pass, you will receive a link to download your pass by e-mail. On it you will find an identification number (ID) and a code with which you can book the events of your choice on our website.

Go to www.giff.ch and click on PASS in the top bar, to the right of the cart logo. There, you can enter your ID and code and click on Login. To check that the connection worked, click on PASS. Your first name and last name appear. Here you have the possibility to check the list of your bookings and to disconnect.

Once your pass is connected, you can navigate on the website and choose your program.

Click on the event of your choice to open the corresponding page.

On the right of the page, you will find a TICKETS box where you can choose the desired date. Once you have chosen the projection, click on Book on my pass. The reservation is automatic.

You can book up to 8 events per day, within the limit of available seats.

Be specific in your bookings and make sure not to book two overlapping sessions.

To check that your program is well booked, you can check the list of your bookings. It is not necessary to print the summary of your bookings. Go directly at the entrance of the venue with your Pass or Accreditation: your bookings are recorded on it.

Do not forget to log out before leaving the site www.giff.ch.

 

HOW CAN I CONSULT THE RESERVATIONS SAVED ON MY PASS?

You have access to the list of your bookings, directly on www.giff.ch.

Log in by clicking on PASS and entering your ID and your code.

Click again on PASS then on SEE MY BOOKINGS.

You are redirected to a ticketing page.

Your bookings are listed on the left of the screen.

You can also consult your reservations at the Central Box Office, Maison Communale de Plainpalais (Pitoëff), from the 1st of November.

IS IT NECESSARY TO BOOK MY PROGRAM IF I HAVE A GIFF PASS?

Yes, it is imperative to book the sessions of your choice. Without prior reservation, we will not guarantee you access to the venues.

CAN I LEND MY PASS OR MY ACCREDITATION TO SOMEONE ELSE, IF I CANNOT ATTEND A SESSION?

No, Passes and Accreditations are nominative and non-transmittable. They allow access to the venues only to the holder of the Pass or Accreditation. In case of fraudulent use, Passes and Accreditations will be confiscated.

  

IS IT POSSIBLE TO BE REFUNDED OR EXCHANGE THE TICKET?

No, purchased tickets are neither returned nor exchanged, according to our general terms and conditions of sale.

 

CAN I BUY TICKETS WITH THE ‘CHEQUES CULTURE’?

Yes, at the Central Ticket Office, Maison Communale de Plainpalais (Pitoëff), as well as at the Festival’s Ticket Office, opening at the venue prior to the sessions.

RECOMMENDATIONS

It is strongly recommended to arrive at least 20 minutes before the screening/event.
In case of absence, 5 minutes before the start of the screening/event, your seat will be reassigned.
Since then, access to the venue will be allowed only within the limits of available seats.
The Festival reserves the right not to allow latecomers to enter – even in possession of a valid ticket – without any refund or exchange.
