Executive Committee

Emmanuel Cuénod, Executive & Artistic Director

Executive and Artistic Director of the Geneva International Film Festival since March 2013, Emmanuel Cuénod worked for ten years as a film critic and cultural writer for daily newspaper La Tribune de Genève while also working with various magazines and appearing on radio and TV for the Swiss Broadcasting Corporation (RTS). He also held the position of editor-in-chief for Ciné Bulletin, Switzerland’s journal of audiovisual media.

Cuénod has also worked as producer for Geneva company Rita Productions before founding In Utero in 2012, an independent agency that promotes radical cinema. Fascinated with the way technology continuously influences screenwriting, he is also the joint founder of the Foundation for Digital Creation. In 2015, Cuénod was appointed to the Academic Board of HEAD – Genève by the Council of the State of Geneva. He is also Member of the Board of the Cinéforum Foundation.

Nathalie Gregoletto, Deputy Artistic Director & Head of Programs

After graduating with an MA in Film Theory & Practices from the University of Lausanne, Nathalie Gregoletto began writing film reviews for cinema.ch as well as articles for the journal of the University of Geneva’s film club. She then worked with various institutions as well as cultural and film festivals such as Festival Antigel, Cinébulletin, Visions du Réel, FIFF and the Locarno Film Festival. In 2013, she joined the programming team at Festival Tous Ecrans, which she has coordinated from 2015 to the present day. In 2017, Gregoletto joined GIFF’s management committee as Deputy Artistic Director.

Camille Dubois, Head of Communications & Partnerships

Graduated from a training course in audiovisual producer and a MA in cultural project manager, Camille Dubois has worked in the field of communications for ten years. She has been Head of Communications & Media at La Bâtie-Festival de Genève, press officer at Festival Les Urbaines, communications assistant at la Comédie de Genève, promotion assistant at Théâtre Forum Meyrin and Head of Communications & Outreach at Festival Archipel. She joined GIFF in June 2019.

Tom Guex, Administrator

After graduating with a BA in Business Administration, Tom Guex was hired by the Geneva International Film Festival as administrator in September 2018. Guex has worked as Head of Administration & Finance in several cultural organizations such as L’Amalgame in Yverdon-les-Bains and Le Romandie in Lausanne. A music and film enthusiast, he jointly created a production agency in 2016 which he left in 2018 to join GIFF’s management committee.

Paola Gazzani Marinelli, Head of Digital & Professional Programs

Italian-born Paola Gazzani Marinelli has been Head of Professional and Digital Programs at the Geneva International Film Festival // GIFF for five years. Fascinated by digital creation and new digital narrative methods, she focuses on the future of the audiovisual industry, the ties between cinema, television and digital media, as well as on the way new technology impacts the creation, distribution and reception of images.

Gaëlle Vidalie, Feature Films Programmer

For some twenty years, Gaëlle Vidalie worked at Cinémathèque Française, distributing and highlighting the collection’s films. Deputy Delegate at Belfort Entrevues Film Festival from 2001 to 2005, Vidalie also designed posters and collage, presenting her exhibition Un Square en Enfer at Brézille Gallery. In 2010 and 2011, she was also part of the selection committee for the Directors’ Fortnight. In 2013, she joined the selection committee at GIFF, curating the series Cinema of Our Time in parallel, for which she also produced a portrait in 2016, Rafi Pitts: No Return.

Maral Mohsenin, TV Series Programmer

Parallel to her studies in Film History & Esthetics at the University of Lausanne, Maral Mohsenin began working at GIFF in 2015 where she was the Retrospective curator for the program Filmmakers of Our Time. She then took on the role of TV Series programmer at the Festival. In addition to her collaboration with the Festival, Mohsenin works as a film conserver and restorer in the archives of the Swiss Film Archive, Cinémathèque suisse, while she is preparing her PhD dissertation on Cinema and Archives in the Digital Age.
