The summer heat is a signal for families from the peaceful Roman suburbs to leave on holiday. But their children soon destroy the fragile varnish of appearances. A cruel and beautiful tale, Bad Tales won a Silver Bear at the Berlin International Film Festival.

A screening dedicated to the memory of the great Ticino producer Tiziana Soudani.
“We were 19 when we started writing this screenplay. We were inspired by Raymond Carver, who said that every story should have a trigger, but that one shouldn’t know what it is right away”. The filmmakers, self-taught twins, love to experiment: poetry, painting, photography or scriptwriting. In the suburbs of Rome, children are victims of the frustrated adults around them. A dark, scathing tale. The chromatic photo is by Paolo Carnera.
