A little girl loses her kite. She ventures out of the area of her house, where she finds the image of her father, who never returned from the war. A tender and poetic evocation of the demilitarized zone that separates the two Koreas, of its conflicts and buried dramas.

From 12 years old

Yuri’s memories of her 8th birthday in South Korea. She had decided to flee to the demilitarized zone to find out if her father, a violinist held in the North, was still alive. Swiss filmmaker Fabienne Giezendanner has created a poetic and dreamlike coming-of-age tale that lets viewers experience a true story, thanks to an immersive and interactive narrative that is shaped by their actions and behavior.
