1962. A young physics PhD student attends a conference in the Alps with his research supervisor. A hotel full of mysterious characters, strange clouds and – beneath the mountain – a secret.
In a scintillating black and white universe shot in the CinemaScope format, this metaphysical science fiction-infused thriller takes us back to a 1962 conference of oddball scientists debating quantum physics against the atmospheric backdrop of the Swiss Alps. In a hotel in the Grisons region of Switzerland, we meet a cast of outlandish characters, a femme fatale, a corpse, radioactive material... A spatiotemporal tunnel reminiscent of the world of Leo Perutz's detective novels that so fascinated Alfred Hitchcock, with a score by Diego Ramos Rodríguez written as a pure homage to the classic film noirs of the 1940s and 50s. Atmospheric.
