In presence of Marguerite Kudelski, Saturday November 4.
On evening in Paris, a young postal worker is late for a one-off recital from his favorite singer. Hidden in his satchel is a Nagra recorder: the diva has always refused to be recorded…
Jules is a Parisian postman with a passion for music. In his loft is a lovingly curated collection of records and tapes. Yet there's one voice missing: that of Cynthia Hawkins (played by Wilhelmenia Fernandez), a well-known diva with a passionate hatred for recordings. Nevertheless, during a concert in Paris, Jules manages to capture her performance using his Nagra. What he doesn't realize is that, at the bottom of his bag lies another tape, just as precious and sought after... Winner of the 1982 César Award for Best Original Music, this film pays tribute to the revolutionary (and Swiss made) technology of the Nagra portable recorder. A French-style thriller sure to appeal to the most discerning music lovers.
