The Director of the Théâtre des Amandiers, Philippe Quesne, invited Mandico to stage one of his creations. Despite the project being halted by the pandemic, the director decided to use his work, his set and his actors. The result is a feature-length film accompanied by two shorts created as a response. A flamboyant journey into a hall of mirrors that evokes heroic fantasy mixed with shades of the French comic Métal hurlant or Gustave Moreau. A crazed, bestial and dreamlike happening in which a guardian of the underworld – formerly a war and fashion photographer – goes back in time with his muse to capture the march of death.
