Steeped in the books of Robert E. Howard and Celtic mythology, the filmmaker frees himself from iconic imagery and dispenses with the virility of the original character. Every ten years, a new, older Conann arrives to kill the former. In this tale of barbarism filmed in 35 mm, the camera traverses both time and walls. A baroque, gory, lyrical ode to cinema and a political pamphlet. As always, the score is by Pierre Desprats.
