It's too hot in Rome for January. Temperatures continue to soar. A heroin-addicted priest, a psychopath, an ex-porn star and an alcoholic woman are on the verge of implosion. A convulsive dark comedy.

Rome. The end of year celebrations are over and the new one has got off to a strange start. It is 30°C and the heat is increasing steadily. As the mercury nudges 50°C, mosquitoes even start to appear. A fanatical believer is obsessed with her ex-friend, a former porn star and a kind of Cicciolina hankering after her golden, surgery-addicted era; a priest is engaged in a struggle with heroin; a young woman who has lost custody of her child is drinking far too much, while another is bulimic. All are battling their own addictions. Their problems are seriously intensified in this infernal heatwave that feels like the end of the world. Vladan Radovic provides the cinematography for this gripping dystopia.
