In presence of Benjamin Voisin and Stefan Crepon, Wednesday November 6.
Pierre, a widowed father of two young men, is stunned to discover that his eldest is a member of an extreme right-wing group. A deeply moving work about family love distorted by radicalization.

The adaptation of Laurent Petitmangin's 2020 novel Ce qu'il faut de nuit has a special resonance in France in 2024. Sisters Delphine and Muriel Coulin have understood this, and elegantly portray a father's incomprehension when faced with his eldest son's new political leanings, seduced by far-right movements. Instead of studying these groups at their roots, the directors and screenwriters choose to take the point of view of Vincent Lindon's character – who won an award for his performance at the last Venice Film Festival – to observe the gradual turnaround of the rebel, played by the formidable Benjamin Voisin, within a loving but fragile household. A family is torn apart before our very eyes. Poignant!
