Two spaces separated from each other. Two people, each filmed in real time. It is up to them to interact on a single screen. Social distancing, the watchword of 2020, as challenged by art, games and life. A way of saying that it is always better together.

Distances is an interactive and participatory installation that virtually brings together people who are not or no longer able to touch each other physically. Located in two separate spaces and filmed in real time, they are nevertheless seen interacting in the same image. Their faces and hands attract and repel each other, touching and meeting haphazardly. This work was born as a reaction to the coronavirus health crisis, its quarantine and social distancing measures.
