A crumbling steel mill casts its desolate shadow over a small Pennsylvania town. The local police chief, a traumatized ex-military man high on painkillers, must solve a murder he would rather not… This gallery of characters mired in the ravages of unemployment are so genuine, we observe them as we would contemplate our fellow human beings. This is not a thriller: it’s a human comedy.
