A seven-day walk takes miners to La Paz, the highest capital in the world. Dazed, they come across a shaman, a white wolf, and the legend of the black panther. This mesmerizing, hybrid collage shot in 16 mm is a mystical ode to “Nuestra Amada Señora de la Paz” and the city’s invisible workers.
Something of an extension of his first movie, this film features miners from Huanuni, a small town in Bolivia. A seven-day walk takes them to La Paz, the highest capital in the world. At 3600 meters, the city is fragmented, made up of ruins and half-finished buildings, repeatedly hit by earthquakes. Dazed, the characters meet a shaman, a white wolf, and the legend of the black panther. This mesmerizing, hybrid collage shot in 16 mm is a mystical ode to “Nuestra Amada Señora de la Paz” and the city’s invisible workers.
