GIFF UNLIMITED @ISTITUTO SVIZZERO DI ROMA
The GIFF brings its UNLIMITED program on October 16 & 17, to Rome and, in so doing, collaborates for the first time with the prestigious Istituto Svizzero to present Cyberia. A mechanical and magical work by Adrian Ganea & Maria Guta, which was notably programmed in 2019 as part of the Swiss Interactive Sessions of the Geneva Digital Market.
A postmodern fairy tale
Cyberia takes place in a cold and distant territory, somewhere in the East and stages a journey to the West towards a promising future. There is no here, no there, only a shadowy zone between the starting point and an imaginary destination. Between digital video projections and physical setting, using the mechanics of a video game engine with a combination of motion capture, Cyberia is the simulation of an endless pre-climax state where a performer and an avatar dance as one on the rhythms of an imaginary West.
Virtual Reality Experience
The first Italian festival dedicated to the world of virtual reality and immersive technologies, Vre – Virtual Reality Experience, allows to discover indefinite times and distant worlds. The program includes 360° filmed works, virtual experiences, live performances and conferences featuring some of the most prominent speakers in the field of VR/AR/XR.
