Sensory and melancholic, Rave challenges our relationship with reality and revives our memories. Lost in the wilderness, in search of a magical evening, how far will our heroes go?
Straddling the border between documentary and first-person fiction, Rave is the story of a moment in life, a ritual among friends in search of another kind of connection. Between the intimacy of the passage to adulthood and this social milestone (a rave party in the middle of the forest), thoughts race as the music takes on an increasingly intrusive role. With a visual bias that perfectly matches the VR medium, Rave is radical in its proposition – and musical in its perceptions. A nocturnal odyssey that might just revive a few memories...

Patrick Muroni
Patrick Muroni is a director who graduated from the École Cantonale d'Art de Lausanne. Winner of the Prix d'Encouragement Artistique de la Ville de Renens, he directed the short film "A Sommer Morning", selected at Locarno in 2020, followed by Les Sentinelles, also presented at festivals. His first documentary, "Fierce: A Porn Revolution ", was selected for Visions du réel in 2022. In 2024, he presents Rave, a virtual reality project about rave parties.
