Things are getting out of hand in Clermont. A new dad has just been fired and his relationship is on the rocks. One Thursday – then every Thursday – he kills his obnoxious neighbor. It's a never-ending cycle on repeat. A surrealist and horrific comedy.
A story of life and death… but not necessarily in that order! Adapted from the bestseller Petite Fleur (Jamais ne meurt) [Little flower never dies] by Iosi Havilio, this is the first film directed in France by the Argentine filmmaker (who is also a screenwriter, actor and producer). In this surreal, dark and even disturbing comedy, realism gives way to glimpses of the fantastic and fanciful. Every Thursday, like a day without end, a man kills his obnoxious neighbor to break free from his routine. A caustic tale about relationships, uprootedness and friendship, as gory and macabre as it gets. You'll never listen to Petite Fleur, the famous classic by Sydney Bechet (composed on the toilet!), in the same way again.
