Elvira is a receptionist at her lifelong friend Køster's brothel, who also happens to be a policeman. An unusual job she carries out without question until the disappearance of Candy, one of the prostitutes, awakens her desire for justice and plunges her into Copenhagen's underworld and throws her into danger. Halfway between realism and comedy, the series rests on its main character, whose apparent docility hides an unfailing determination, and on a story that skillfully sustains the suspense throughout.
