Karine is about to turn 40 and is "starting her slow march to death" in the words of her sympathetic friend. An unliberated woman living in 1980s Blagnac, Karine has a small detached home, a husband who leads a happy existence as a chauvinist, and a naturally ungrateful teenage daughter. When Jane, a sassy wasp-waisted American aerobics teacher, moves to the town, she wonders what could have possibly brought a woman of her caliber to Blagnac. A comedy that combines aerobics, espionage, aviation and a mid-life crisis, all set in the Toulouse region – who would have thought it? What sounds like a drunken bet among screenwriters results in a joyous and incredibly effective tale.
