GIFF Unlimited – le bal de paris
From May 3 to 15, the Cinéma Plaza will host Le Bal de Paris, a live show sublimated by 35 minutes of virtual reality created by Blanca Li, renowned Spanish choreographer.
The project, presented by the Fondation Fluxum / Flux Laboratory and the Fondation Plaza in partnership with GIFF, will be discovered for the first time in Switzerland.
Le Bal de Paris was awarded the award for Best VR Experience at the 78th Venice international film Festival. This immersive show with a unique imagination was acclaimed by the public and the press during its world premiere in Paris at Théâtre de Chaillot.
“The project, as conceived by Blanca Li, has the ambition of welcoming the widest possible audience. The entire artistic approach of this project is based on the idea of sharing and inclusion. The plot, based on a story of thwarted love, is timeless and universal. The comfort sought in the sensations offered to the spectator makes it a very accessible experience, even for an audience unfamiliar with virtual reality.”
