The GIFF is also offering attendees the opportunity to discover an innovative and exclusive program of entire series. The first two to feature in the 2022 program are French productions: REUSSS (Sisters) a musical comedy in which three best friends navigate the vicissitudes of adolescence and the modern world with a healthy dose of attitude, and TOUTOUYOUTOU (The Aerobics Project), a retro comedy that sees the quiet life of a French mother turned upside down by her simultaneous discovery of aerobics and a political scandal with international implications.

RETROSPECTIVE

SYNTHETIC WORLDS

A retrospective dedicated to Synthetic Worlds brings together audiovisual formats around the theme of the virtual world. In late September, the GIFF, Les Cinémas du Grütli, and HiFlow will present a selection of films, series and digital works exploring the synthetic universes which, since the 1980s, have gripped the human imagination, for better or for worse. As divisive as it is stimulating, the theme has inspired in artists some of the most fantastical visions presaging both the possibilities and the dangers of the metaverse.

THE SWISS EVENT FOR AUDIOVISUAL INNOVATION

The Geneva Digital Market will mark its tenth anniversary with a high-caliber edition to be held both in-person and online. A real incubator of talent, the 5-day digital market will offer audiovisual professionals an exclusive space for knowledge sharing. The market will feature ten round table sessions covering emergent challenges facing the creative industries, a co-production and broadcasting market as well as a series of bespoke networking events.
