The birth of winter vacations in Switzerland at the end of the 19th century, under the impetus of André Morel, an ambitious hotelier who dreamed of becoming the forerunner of a new kind of practice.

Historical drama that looks back at the beginnings of winter tourism through the prism of the creation of a luxury hotel nestled in the heart of the Alps, the Winter Palace. Directed by Pierre Monnard (Platzspitzbaby), the series follows the immense challenge that André Morel and his partner, Lord Fairfax, a wealthy British aristocrat, must face to bring their venture to fruition. Between capricious weather conditions, demanding customers and uncooperative staff, will the two men succeed in their mad gamble?
