Yes, directly by the Volunteer Coordinator. Previous volunteers must also complete the registration form for the upcoming edition.

No, but GIFF places great importance on providing high-quality service to the public, partners, guests, and professionals. Enthusiasm and energy are essential to actively participate in the Festival, as well as the ability to communicate in French to facilitate interactions.

We ask each volunteer to be available for at least four days during the Festival or four shifts of approximately four hours. The minimum commitment and the duration of a shift vary depending on the role.

For all positions, the minimum age is 18.

Joining the volunteer team means becoming part of a passionate and committed community, discovering the behind-the-scenes of an innovative festival, and, if desired, receiving an official certificate recognizing your contribution.

Each volunteer receives a badge giving access to most festival screenings (excluding opening, closing ceremonies, and special events). This privileged access allows volunteers to fully enjoy the program and experience the festival from the inside.

Additional benefits include small attentions, surprises, and thank-yous, designed each year to reward volunteers’ dedication.

No, during their shift volunteers are expected to perform the tasks assigned to them.
